Golden Ball Turnip

This turnip variety is the very definition of an heirloom species—it was first introduced in 1859, and it’s been popular ever since! All that time spent perfecting it means that this turnip is beautifully round, golden yellow, and full of peppery sweet flavor. Some say the best-tasting turnip. 3-4" roots are perfectly shaped amber globes. Sweet, mellow, and smooth. Delicate-grained meaty flesh that is never woody. They are firm in texture and store wonderfully. The greens are tasty, too! Turnips are always a great choice, and Gold Ball turnips are no exception. 70 days to maturity.
