The Turks introduced peppers to the country of Hungary in the 16th century. This began the Hungarian love for both hot and sweet peppers, such as Hungarian Sweet Wax. Several different types of Hungarian peppers are the ingredient of the spice paprika, which is made of dried, ground peppers.
