Japanese Pickling Eggplant is mellow and sweet-tasting, with creamy, meaty flesh – and as their name suggests, they lend themselves perfectly to pickling. Long and slender Japanese variety. Fruits 16 long. Beautiful, glossy purple skin and sweet and mellow flesh. Easy to grow from seeds. The mid-season cultivar, Japanese Pickling, has a reasonable germination rate and comes to maturity 75-85 days from transplanting.
