Large bushy plants with thick stems produce heavy yields of 7 oz red tomatoes. Bright red fruits with full bodied flavor are good for everything - salads, slicing, canning. The fruit is a medium to large fruit, smooth 6-8 ounces with a globular shape and thick walls, bright red color. Rutgers is recognized for its unsurpassed flavor in both slicing and cooking. They are a great choice for short season growing areas 75 days. These did really well this year and I have an abundance of these seeds.
