Red Velvet Lettuce leaves are vibrant that fade from red to green. This variety has an intense color of red. Tops of leaves are solid maroon, and the backs are green-tinged with maroon. Absolutely striking appearance. A looseleaf variety, Red Velvet forms loose heads and is slow to bolt. The leaves have a nice mild flavor.
