Red Core is bright golden-orange heirloom carrots that are fine-grained and tender, even when very large. This variety is known for its sweet, delicate flavor. The thick roots are smooth and about 6 inches long. Excellent for heavy or shallow soils. It does well in adverse climates and produces excellent quality yields, and Its ability to produce well in shallow soil is a bonus for container gardens. The roots may be harvested early or left to grow for more weeks to develop maximum yield. Even when very large, they still have fine flavor and texture. 65 days.
