Empress of India mix is a bright, long-spurred 2 1/2" edible, scarlet blooms with dark leaves. Delicious edible flowers. Annual Flower. Mix with a salad of baby greens or use it as a garnish. They are a good companion to beans, cucumbers, and cabbage.

Nasturtiums were one of the first New World plants to become popular in European flower gardens. However, they were introduced as a flower but as a vegetable. The Incas used it as a salad crop and medicinal herb. The leaves, seeds, and flowers are edible; use them as a showy garnish or to spice up a salad. It can be grown in a container or pot but will need a supporting frame.
