Khabarovsk Dry Pole Bean

An extra-extra-large (XXL), roundish, speckled bean that has a deep tan and purple-red color. The largest seeded bean I have tried to grow. This already large bean doubles in size when cooked, making them even bigger. Large pods are nice for hand harvesting and processing, either as a fresh shelling bean or dry. The texture, when cooked, is reminiscent of delicious, creamy potatoes. Khabarovsk came from a fresh market in the city of Khabarovsk, Siberia in 1990. Aka, Chabarowsk. 90 days.
