Cherokee Purple tomatoes are beefsteak in style, with the green "shoulders" across the top. They are also notable for having a dense, juicy texture, with small seed locales irregularly scattered throughout the flesh. The comparatively dark interior color is enhanced by the seeds' tendency to be surrounded by green gel. Very productive plants bear loads of 10 to 12 oz. Dusky rose/purple fruit with deep brick red interiors. The tomatoes are absolutely delicious, with a pleasantly sweet and rich flavor. Heirloom from Tennessee. 75 days.
