Minnesota Midget Cantaloupe was created by the University of Minnesota and later introduced to the seed market by Farmer Seed Co in 1948. An extremely early melon that is packed with fruits. Measuring just 4 inches across, they have sweet, orange flesh and are perfect miniature versions of the "Classic Muskmelon" and weigh a pound to a pound and a half. Minnesota Midget has an excellent flavor and is very sweet. Compact, 3-4-foot vines produce prolifically, perfect for smaller gardens and containers. EXCELLENT for those with a short growing season or cool nights!
