Alfalfa with clusters of small purple flowers resembles clover, followed by fruits spiraled 2 to 3 turns containing 10-20 seeds. Native to warmer temperate climates, Alfalfa has been cultivated as livestock fodder since the ancient Greeks and Romans era.
